Lightray AI terms of service

Last updated: 25 July 2026

These terms cover use of lightrayai.com. Client work is governed by the separate written agreement for that engagement, which takes precedence over anything on this page.

Using this site

You may read, quote, and link to this site freely. You may not scrape it at a volume that degrades service for others, misrepresent its content as your own, or use it to imply an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist.

The information here is general

Everything published on this site is general information about automation and AI, not advice about your specific situation. Whether a given approach suits your business depends on facts we do not know until we discuss them. Nothing here is legal, financial, or compliance advice.

Enquiries do not create an engagement

Sending the form, or having a first conversation, does not create a contract or any obligation on either side. An engagement begins only when both parties sign a written agreement setting out the scope, the price, and the timeline for a defined stage.

Scope and pricing

Work is quoted as a fixed price against a written scope for each stage, agreed in advance. If the scope changes during a stage, we re-quote rather than absorbing the change silently or invoicing the difference without discussion. The stages are described on the how it works page.

Ownership of deliverables

On payment for a stage, you own what that stage produced — the workflows, integrations, code, and documentation — and it lives in your own accounts. We retain no proprietary runtime you must license to keep it operating. We do retain the right to reuse generic knowledge, techniques, and non-confidential patterns in other work.

Confidentiality

Information you share about your systems, processes, and business is treated as confidential and used only to deliver the engagement. Where an engagement warrants it, we are happy to sign your own confidentiality agreement.

Third-party services

Builds depend on third-party platforms and model providers, each with their own terms, pricing, and availability. We will tell you which services a build depends on before it starts, but we cannot control their pricing changes, outages, or deprecations.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for the stage giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Our obligations as a business to deal fairly and describe our services accurately follow the FTC's business guidance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts of California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them.

Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page. How we handle personal information is set out separately in the privacy policy.
