Lightray AI accessibility statement
Last reviewed: 25 July 2026
We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. This page states what we target, how we verify it, and what to do if something does not work for you.
The standard we build to
This site targets conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, published by the W3C. That standard is also the reference commonly used for Section 508 and ADA expectations in the United States.
How conformance is checked
Accessibility is verified automatically before any change is published, not audited occasionally after the fact. Every page is tested against WCAG 2 AA rules by an automated checker and by a Lighthouse accessibility run, and a failure blocks the deploy.
Automated testing has real limits — it reliably catches contrast, missing labels, and structural problems, but it cannot judge whether a heading is meaningful or whether an image description is useful. Those we check by hand, along with a keyboard-only walkthrough of each page template.
Specific measures taken
- Every text and interface colour combination in the design system was measured against the WCAG contrast thresholds before being used, rather than chosen by eye on a dark background.
- The site is fully keyboard operable, with a visible focus indicator that is offset from its control so it stays visible against every background.
- A skip link is the first focusable element on every page.
- Expandable content uses native HTML elements, so it works without JavaScript and is announced correctly by assistive technology.
- Animation is decorative only and is disabled entirely when your system requests reduced motion.
- Interactive targets are at least 48 pixels, and no content requires horizontal scrolling on a small screen.
- Text can be resized without loss of content, and no page disables zoom.
Known limitations
Diagrams on this site are decorative illustrations of concepts described in the surrounding text; each carries a text description, but the text itself remains the authoritative version. If you find a diagram whose description does not convey what the surrounding copy assumes, that is a defect and we want to hear about it.
Reporting a problem
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible to use, please tell us through the contact form, describing the page and what happened. We aim to respond within one business day and to fix genuine barriers promptly. If it helps to know how we work more generally, the about page covers that.
Review schedule
This statement is reviewed whenever the site's templates change materially, and at least annually. The date above reflects a real review, not an automatic build timestamp.
